Web-Based Intervention Using Self-Compassionate Writing to Induce Positive Mood in Family Caregivers of Older Adults: Quantitative Study

Writing exercises drew upon methods of previous research [15,16,18,22,23,37-39]. Two active writing conditions, 1 control, and 1 control with mindfulness, were adapted from writing exercises constructed by Dreisoerner et al [18], who drew on the work of Germer and Neff [39].

Influence of Physical Attractiveness and Gender on Patient Preferences in Digital Doctor Consultations: Experimental Study

In study 2, to reduce the complexity of the experimental design, we focused on women doctors. A between-subjects experiment was designed with 2 independent variables, each with 2 levels. The manipulated factors were disease severity (2 levels: high vs low) and gender of the participant (2 levels: man vs woman). In the experiment, respondents were randomly assigned to 1 of 2 groups of scenarios with different degrees of involvement.
