Efficacy of a Blended Low-Intensity Internet-Delivered Psychological Program in Patients With Multimorbidity in Primary Care: Randomized Controlled Trial

Efficacy of a Blended Low-Intensity Internet-Delivered Psychological Program in Patients With Multimorbidity in Primary Care: Randomized Controlled Trial

In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a blended low-intensity psychological intervention delivered via ICTs for the treatment of multimorbidity (including depression plus either type 2 diabetes or low back pain) in PC settings.

Effectiveness of Blended Versus Traditional Refresher Training for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: Prospective Observational Study

Effectiveness of Blended Versus Traditional Refresher Training for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: Prospective Observational Study

Therefore, blended approaches are valuable both during a pandemic and when in-person training cannot be conducted, ensuring widespread CPR education for a broad audience [19]. Limited research has been conducted regarding the effective implementation of relearning stimuli to maintain CPR skills within the framework of blended training.

Group, Blended and Individual, Unguided Online Delivery of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for People With Cancer: Feasibility Uncontrolled Trial

Group, Blended and Individual, Unguided Online Delivery of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for People With Cancer: Feasibility Uncontrolled Trial

We developed the following 2 interventions using a cocreation process: group, blended and individual, unguided e MBCT. Group, blended e MBCT consisted of 3 online, group sessions with a mindfulness teacher and 5 individual, teacher-assisted online sessions; this combination provided peer support and partly synchronous communication.

A Blended Intervention Targeting Emotion Dysregulation in Adults With Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: Development and Feasibility Study

A Blended Intervention Targeting Emotion Dysregulation in Adults With Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: Development and Feasibility Study

Blended interventions, where elements from face-to-face and digital treatment formats are combined, could be advantageous as they use the strengths of both treatment formats [33]. A systematic review of blended interventions in mental health care suggests that these interventions may save clinician’s time, lead to lower dropout rates, and help to maintain positive changes made in psychotherapy over time [34]. However, there have been few studies examining a blended treatment format among adults with ADHD.

Developing a Theory of Change for a Digital Youth Mental Health Service (Moderated Online Social Therapy): Mixed Methods Knowledge Synthesis Study

Developing a Theory of Change for a Digital Youth Mental Health Service (Moderated Online Social Therapy): Mixed Methods Knowledge Synthesis Study

Moderated Online Social Therapy (MOST) [23] is a digital mental health platform (both a web interface and a dedicated app) for people aged between 12 and 25 years, designed to be integrated (blended) into established face-to-face youth mental health services, including primary care mental health services like “Headspace” and specialist child and adolescent mental health services [4].

Blending Video Therapy and Digital Self-Help for Individuals With Suicidal Ideation: Intervention Design and a Qualitative Study Within the Development Process

Blending Video Therapy and Digital Self-Help for Individuals With Suicidal Ideation: Intervention Design and a Qualitative Study Within the Development Process

To address these limitations, we developed GO-ONline, a personalized blended CBT intervention for the treatment of suicidal ideation. We combined video therapy with web-based self-help modules in order to retain the advantages of a fully remote treatment while offering intensive human support. Blended care might increase the effectiveness and treatment adherence compared with digital self-help interventions [26].

Blended Care in Patients With Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis in Physical Therapy: Delphi Study on Needs and Preconditions

Blended Care in Patients With Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis in Physical Therapy: Delphi Study on Needs and Preconditions

Integrating in-person and digital health care is referred to as “blended care.” [8]. On the one hand, blended care overcomes the barriers of using solely digital health care, such as low adherence rates to the treatment [7,9,10]. On the other hand, blended care includes the benefit of personal attention of a health care professional. If the digital health focuses on patient empowerment, blended care potentially increases and facilitates a patient’s self-management and ultimately decreases costs [9,11,12].

Effectiveness and Cost-Effectiveness of Blended Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Clinically Depressed Adolescents: Protocol for a Pragmatic Quasi-Experimental Controlled Trial

Effectiveness and Cost-Effectiveness of Blended Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Clinically Depressed Adolescents: Protocol for a Pragmatic Quasi-Experimental Controlled Trial

Several systematic reviews found that therapist guidance in guided or blended CBT increases the effectiveness of online interventions and is also associated with higher completion of the treatment [11,12,19]. The so-called blended treatment protocols could even be more appropriate or adequate for depressed adolescents. In blended treatments, the online protocol and face-to-face sessions are fully integrated into one treatment protocol.
