Recommendations to Address Barriers to Patient Portal Use Among Persons With Diabetes Seeking Care at Community Health Centers: Interview Study With Patients and Health Care Providers

In a retrospective cohort study among 95,043 persons with diabetes, individuals who used the patient portal every month of the year had 0.41% lower hemoglobin A1c, 6.25 mg/d L lower low-density lipoprotein, and 1.01 mm Hg lower systolic blood pressure compared with those who used the patient portal for only 1 month in a year [8].
